The 5 most common skincare mistakes
Most skin problems we see were not caused by neglect — they were caused by care. Five well-intentioned habits that work against the skin.

The women who come to us with irritated, reactive skin are rarely the ones doing nothing — they are usually the ones doing too much. The five mistakes we correct most often:
- Over-cleansing. Squeaky-clean is stripped, not clean — a damaged barrier then reacts to everything, and the skin looks worse the harder you wash.
- Collecting actives. Acid tonight, retinol tomorrow, a new serum on Saturday — the skin never gets two calm weeks to show what actually works.
- SPF only on holiday. The UV that ages skin arrives daily, through clouds and car windows; sunscreen twice a year protects you twice a year.
- Copying someone else's routine. Your friend's skin type, climate and hormones are not yours — her miracle product can be your breakout.
- Expecting cream to do structural work. Tone, puffiness and deep lines live in muscles, circulation and collagen — jars support that work; massage and professional care do it.
The pattern behind all five: more is not better, matched is better. Skin asks for consistency and correctness, not intensity.
