5 rules for a more balanced choice at a restaurant
Eating out is part of a good life, not a threat to it. Five quiet rules that keep the evening and the balance.

A woman who eats out twice a week eats out a hundred times a year — those hundred meals matter more than any detox. The point is not to order sadness; it is to order like someone who plans to feel good at 23:00 too:
- Don't arrive starving. A protein snack two hours before means you order with your head, not your blood sugar.
- Anchor the order in protein: fish, meat, seafood — then build sides around it, not the reverse.
- One indulgence per evening, chosen consciously: the bread basket, the dessert or the cocktail — the one you actually want most tonight.
- Sauces and dressings on the side. Half the hidden calories of restaurant food live in what's poured over it.
- Eat slowly and finish when you're satisfied, not when the plate is. Restaurants portion for margins, not for you.
And if the evening went entirely differently — it was one meal. The body keeps a weekly average, not a nightly verdict. Tomorrow is an ordinary day, not a punishment day.
